Mr Stewart Grainger is currently a Master’s student in History at Teesside University. He has a long-term interest in the events surrounding the Turkish invasion of Cyprus in July 1974 and decided, for one of his essays, to focus on both the lead-up to the invasion and its aftermath. As part of his research, he sought to speak with people from all sides in the conflict, including from the Greek Cypriot community, in order to learn about their personal memories of that time—how the events affected them, their personal recollections, and whether they had kept any memorabilia from the period.

On Forgiveness Sunday, 2nd March 2025, we had the joy of welcoming Bishop Raphael to preside at the Divine Liturgy and to celebrate the first anniversary since the reopening of our church.

On Sunday 2nd February, we celebrated the Feast of Christ's Meeting in the Temple, as well as the feast of St Symeon the Elder who carried Christ in his arms.

In January 2025, we celebrated the Great Blessing of Waters as part of the Theophany services.

Christ is born, glorify Him!

On Sunday 1 December 2024, the Divine Liturgy concluded with a memorial service for Mrs Stavroula (Loula) McNicholas who was one the founding members of our church. 

From 10th to 12th November 2024, Highgate House in Northampton welcomed a number of Presvyteres and Diakonisses from across the Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain for the first Clergy Wives Retreat.

On Sunday 29th September 2024, we had the joy of welcoming back His Grace Bishop Raphael who celebrated the Divine Liturgy assisted by Fr Dionysios-James Higgs from the Church of the Holy Apostles in Layland and Fr Nikita Banev.

In response to our application for charitable status for our Community, the Charity Commission for England and Wales wrote to us on 5th September to confirm:

On Sunday 29th September, we are expecting His Grace Bishop Raphael for the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the opening of our church of the Annunciation of the Mother of God.

With this post we celebrate the opening of our  Community's first library. 

On Sunday 28th July 2024, the members of our newly elected Committee had the joy of receiving their official letters of appointment from our Archbishop, His Eminence Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain.
