This year's pilgrimage to the Holy Island took place on Saturday 4 October 2025.
His Grace our Bishop Raphael, Fr Antonios Kakalis.from Edinburgh, Fr Anthony from Arizona, Fr Symeon Menne from Newcastle and Fr Nikita celebrated the Divine Liturgy at St Mary the Virgin historical Church.
Well over 100 faithful from parishes from England and Scotland---from York to Inverness---gathered for the service. Fr Nikita was invited by Bishop Raphael to preach (see the sermon transcribed below). The chanting was led by the singers from Edinburgh and our own Liliana, Marios and Aidan, and many helpers.
The beautiful service was followed by a sumptuous bring-and-share meal at the Island Community Hall.
Bishop Raphael held a Q&A session after which we went on a walk around the Island.
